INEZ — Martin Circuit Court formally charged a Tomahawk man with a felony drug offense after deputies arrested him earlier this month at a local trailer park.

Paul “Tommy” Mullins, 44, faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first offense, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Prosecutors filed the charges March 26 through a criminal information, bypassing grand jury proceedings.

Officers with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mullins on March 12 at Fields Trailer Park after receiving multiple complaints about heavy traffic — including off-road vehicles — at all hours of the day and night.

During the arrest, law enforcement reported finding a bag containing a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine and several bags suspected to contain marijuana.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office recovered these bags containing suspected crystal meth and marijuana from a camper where Paul “Tommy” Mullins was staying March 12 at Fields Trailer Park. Last week, the Martin Circuit Court formally charged Mullins with a felony drug charge of possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge. Martin Circuit Judge J. Kevin Holbrook ordered Mullins to appear for arraignment April 3 in Inez.
