ASHLAND — Kentucky State Police Post 14 in Ashland is asking for the public’s help as they investigate an incident in which a pedestrian was struck along Interstate 64 in Boyd County on Saturday night.
Authorities said the accident occurred around 9 p.m. in the westbound lanes at the 185-mile marker near the Cannonsburg exit.
Emergency responders arrived quickly after the report came in.
Officials are withholding the identity and condition of the individual pending further investigation and notification of the family.
The KSP is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“We are asking for the public’s assistance,” the agency said in a statement. “If you were traveling in the area or have any information related to this incident, you are urged to contact Kentucky State Police Post 14 at (606) 928-6421.”
Officials have not disclosed further details.
