INEZ — The Martin County School District has amended its academic calendar to make up for instructional days missed due to inclement weather. As a result, several days previously scheduled for spring break will now be regular school days.
The following dates are now instructional days:
Monday, March 31
Tuesday, April 1
Wednesday, April 2
If the governor signs House Bill 241, the last day for students will be Friday, May 23. The daily schedule will remain unchanged.
Martin County High School’s graduation ceremony is also scheduled for Friday, May 23.
In a statement, the school district acknowledged the potential inconvenience to families:
“We understand that some families may have already made travel plans during this time. Students with pre-planned trips that offer significant educational value may submit an Educational Enhancement Opportunity (EHO) form for approval. Approved forms allow students to receive an excused absence for educational activities that provide meaningful enrichment aligned with their academic goals.”
