Brenda Sue Akers

Brenda Sue Akers, 72, of Pilgrim, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at Highlands Regional Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 6, 1952, to the late Conard Cassady and Ruth Preece.

Brenda is survived by her husband, George Akers; brothers, Bill (Susie) Cassady of Daniels, Randy (Gail) Cassady of Pilgrim, and Chris (Karen) Cassady of Wake Forest, North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Joyce Akers; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Brenda was a member of the Warfield Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted at Warfield Missionary Baptist Church on Monday, March 24, 2025, with Garmen Preece officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
