ASHLAND  — The Kentucky State Police arrested a Boyd County coach March 19 following a yearslong investigation into alleged child pornography, authorities said.

Harlee Estepp, 28, of Grayson, faces charges in connection with incidents that investigators say occurred before his current employment as a track coach and assistant football coach at Ashland Blazer High School.

The case opened in 2022 after law enforcement received information about Estepp’s alleged interactions with a juvenile, the Kentucky State Police said.

Estepp faces charges of first-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony that carries a potential prison sentence of five to 10 years. He also faces a charge of procuring or promoting the use of a minor through electronic means.

He is currently in the Carter County Detention Center.
