
Linda Mollette
1944—2025
Linda Mollette, 80, passed away March 14, 2025, at 3:10 a.m. at Community Hospice of Ashland.
She survived a bout of colon cancer in 1998 but finally succumbed to another episode of cancer.
Linda was born Oct. 29, 1944, to the late Cleveland Edward Dillon and Bettie Warren Dillon of Morehead.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Lynn.
Linda is survived by her husband of 40 years, Clyde Mollette. She is also survived by three brothers, James Daniel Dillon, David Michael Dillon and Matthew Cleveland Dillon, all of Morehead, and four nephews.
Linda was a school teacher for 38 years, with 12 years in Ohio and 26 years in Kentucky. She retired from Eden Elementary School in 2005.
Linda loved her work as a Special Ed teacher. She loved working with kids and watching them grow and develop.
She loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, fishing, camping and picnicking.
Linda had a Tennessee Walker horse that she loved to ride along the trails. She also loved four-wheeling and traveling around the country in a camper.
Linda was a member of the Morehead Community Church. She enjoyed the services of Tomahawk Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Jack Ward.
Linda will be missed by all of her friends and family. She was a very loving and caring person.
Graveside services took place Friday, March 14 at the Garden Cemetery in Lawrence County, with Jack Ward officiating. Funeral services are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home in Inez.
