Donna Sue Callaham Cassady
1934—2025

Donna Sue Callaham Cassady passed away peacefully March 13, 2025, in Bowling Green at the age of 90.

Donna Sue was born Dec. 4, 1934, in Inez to the late Kelly and Della Callaham.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband, Billy Ray Cassady and siblings Johnny Callaham and Dottie West.

Donna Sue is survived by two sons, Mike (Michelle) Cassady of Bowling Green and Carlos (Cindy) Cassady of Frankfort. She also leaves behind five grandsons, Alex (Phyllis) Cassady, Andrew (Sarah) Cassady, Curtis (Coren) Murphy, Charles Cassady and Carlin (Emily) Cassady; eight great-grandchildren, Kadence, Mackenzie, Korbyn, Camden, Kash, Cade, Daniel and Melody; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends in the Martin County and tri-county area.

Donna Sue was a 1953 graduate of Inez High School and a 1957 graduate of the University of Kentucky. Upon graduating she began a long career of teaching that spanned 41 years and touched countless lives.

She was a member of the Golden Memorial United Methodist Church in Inez. She was also a lifetime member of Eastern Star, an area Birthday Club, and Martin County Women’s Club. Donna Sue took part in many social events in the tri-county area.

An avid photographer, many friends have thousands of photos she took and gave to them.

Celebration of Donna Sue’s life took place Monday, March 17, 2025, at noon at the Golden Memorial United Methodist Church, Main Street, Inez.

David Heintzelman and Mike Goble officiated the service. Callaham Funeral Home was in charge of services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Golden Memorial UMC in her memory.
