Davis receives offer from Spalding

INEZ — College offers are rolling in for Martin County High School guard Peyton Davis. Coach Kevin Gray of Spalding University has extended an offer for the senior to play basketball at the prestigious school in Louisville.

Davis has received offers from Harrodsburg, Alice Lloyd, Bluefield, UIC of Florida, and Kentucky Christian University. He still has upcoming visits to West Virginia Tech and the University of Charleston.

The Cardinal sharpshooter was a blistering 48.9% from behind the arc in his senior campaign. He knocked down 89 3-pointers.

Davis averaged 17 points and 4.5 rebounds per game on 56.6% shooting from the floor.
