INEZ — The Martin Circuit Court formally charged a Debord woman with drug-related crimes.

Barbara J. Gordon, 44, faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

According to the information filed March 10, the Commonwealth Attorney for the 24th Circuit accuses Gordon of having methamphetamine and marijuana at the time of her arrest Nov. 7, 2024.

Arrest records indicate Gordon pulled the drugs out of her purse when Martin County Sheriff John Kirk stopped her for expired tags and drifting over the center line in downtown Inez.

Judge J. Kevin Holbrook ordered Gordon to appear for arraignment March 20.
