FEMA opens disaster recovery center in Inez

INEZ — FEMA opened a disaster recovery center (DRC) in the former Martin County Library at 180 E Main Street in Inez.

The hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

There is also a FEMA registration intake center March 5 and 8 at the Huntleyville Gospel Church. Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Flood survivors have until April 25 to apply for assistance.

FEMA representatives at the DRC can explain available assistance programs, how to apply to FEMA, and help connect survivors with resources for recovery needs.

Representatives from the Kentucky Office of Unemployment Insurance, the Kentucky Department of Insurance and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will be available to assist.

If you are unable to visit the center, you can apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 800-621-3362, or by using the FEMA app.

If you use a relay service such as Video Relay (VRS), captioned telephone or other service, give FEMA the number for that service.
