Minnie Alice Stephens Murphy
1946—2025

Minnie Alice Stephens Murphy, 78, of Liberty, formerly of Warfield, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, at her home.

She was born Nov. 19, 1946, in Floyd County to the late Woodrow and Marlie Stephens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Murphy, three brothers, Woodrow, Tom and Eugene Stephens and one sister, Pauline Coburn.

Alice is survived by three daughters, Tammy Crone, Sandra Stacy and Lottie Wilson, two brothers, James Stephens and Kenneth Stephens, and her church family from Bradley Pleasure Baptist Church whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez. Burial followed at the Murphy Cemetery in East Kermit, West Virginia, under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
