Dolores Vian (Thompson) Goble

1944—2025

Dolores Vian (Thompson) Goble, age 80, of Debord, passed away Feb. 15, 2025, at Highlands ARH in Prestonsburg.

Born Oct. 30, 1944, in Louisa, she was the daughter of the late Hercel and Nora (Estep) Thompson.

In addition to her parents, Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Rabon Goble; one son, Randy Goble; four brothers, Charles Thompson, Lonzo Thompson, Bob Thompson and Mack Thompson; and three sisters, Betty Wellmen, Ruth Ross and Phyllis Thompson.

She is survived by one son, Christopher (Carol) Goble of Florida, one daughter, Kimberly (Dale) Smith of Debord, one sister, Patty Gussler of Columbus, Ohio, eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, at Crum Funeral Home with Phillip Kirk officiating. Burial followed at the Goble Cemetery in Debord. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
