Sherry is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Donald Ray Delong, daughter Melissa Irene Delong (Chris) Sizemore, sons Donald Ray Delong Jr. (Latasha Maynard Delong), Aaron Nathaniel (Ashley) Delong, Zachary Colton Delong and Grayson Ray Christian Delong, all of Debord, and Dustin Lee (Kristi) Delong of Miami, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind grandchildren Christopher Blake (Brittany) Sizemore of Inez, William Donald Delong of Hode, Jordan Alexander Delong of Beauty, Kaitlyn Michelle Delong, Jasmine Nicole Delong, Brooklyn Sizemore, Hannah Jayden Smith, and Jake Ryan Delong of Debord, and McKenzie and Amarah Rene Delong of Miami, Oklahoma. Sherry was a member of the Beauty Church of Christ. She loved the Lord and her family. Her favorite place to be was at home with family all gathered together.

Sherry and Don were married April 5, 1975, at the Church of Christ in Prestonsburg. They had a love that was pure and beautiful.

Sherry had a smile that would light up any room, breathtaking, and a heart that was full and selfless. Her hobbies included crafting, planting and growing beautiful flowers and shopping for deals. She could make something amazing out of the least little thing. She loved to sing, dance and play her keyboard.

She taught her children to respect and be kind. She also loved teaching her son Grayson how to read, spell and write. She told us that we could be anything in life if we worked hard and believed in ourselves. She believed in all of us.

She fought her sickness for over three years and stayed so very strong until her last days. When the doctors said it was unheard of, she proved them wrong. Sherry was an inspiration to everyone and will never be forgotten. Her love will always keep us whole.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, in the Crum Funeral Home Chapel in Inez, with Randy Cassady officiating. Burial followed at the Goble Family Cemetery under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
