NAUGATUCK, W.Va. — The No. 3 ranked Tug Valley Lady Panthers improved to 16-2 on the season as they won two more games this past week. Those wins included one on Senior Night, Jan. 29, against East Ridge and one at Van. The much anticipated Friday night game against St. Joe was postponed due to the rain and flood warnings in the region.

Tug Valley 77, East Ridge 37

NAUGATUCK, W.Va. — The Lady Panthers clawed the East Ridge Lady Warriors, 77-37, Wednesday evening at their home gymnasium. It was Senior Night for TVHS.

Coach Seth Ooten’s team led 46-15 at the break and cruised to the victory.

Kenzie Browning fired in 13 first-half points, while Haven Deskins netted 11 in the first two quarters.

Browning finished the game with a team-leading 18 points. Browning, the lone senior who was honored prior to the start of the game, scored 15. Bailee Hall had another double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Katelyn Richardson had 12 points off the bench, while Kylie DeBoard netted six and Katie Hall four points and eight boards.

Also scoring for the Lady Panthers were Alexis Messer with four, Lily Mounts with eight and Maria Pilkins with one point.

Tug Valley 75, Van 14

VAN, W.Va. — The Tug Valley Panthers rolled over the Van Lady Bulldogs 75-14 on Monday night.

A total of 10 players scored for Coach Seth Ooten’s team as the entire roster got a lot of playing time.

Haven Deskins led the starting five with 16 points, while Alexis Messer tallied 18 off the bench for TV.

Katie Hall chipped in 11, Bailee Hall eight, Kenzie Browning seven and Kyle DeBoard two for the starters.

Katelyn Richardson scored four, Lily Mounts five, Maria Pilkins two and Makayla Bryant two for the Lady Panthers.
