LOUISA — Mountain Movers has adjusted the schedule for its production of “The Taming of the Shrew” at the Garden Theater in Louisa due to recent weather conditions.

Written by William Shakespeare in the early 1590s, “The Taming of the Shrew” is a lively comedy that explores themes of courtship, gender roles and societal expectations.
The play follows the strong-willed Katherina, or Kate, as she navigates an unconventional courtship with the assertive Petruchio, who seeks to “tame” her into a more traditional role as a wife.
A parallel storyline unfolds as Kate’s sister, Bianca, attracts multiple suitors, adding intrigue and humor to the plot.
