Lois (McCoy) Meade
1942—2025

Lois (McCoy) Meade, 82, of Louisa, passed away Jan. 22, 2025.

She was born July 12, 1942, in Beauty to the late Clyde and Grace (Jude) McCoy.

Lois was a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee Meade; two sons, Paul Michael Meade and Timmy Speakman; four brothers, Johnny McCoy, Gabie McCoy, Carl McCoy and Tommy McCoy; one son-in-law, Jeff Pitts; and three sisters-in-law, Linda McCoy, Sandy McCoy and Betty McCoy.

She is survived by one son, Johnny (Carolyn) Meade of Inez; one daughter, Michelle Pitts of Hagerhill; three brothers, Leroy (Phyllis) McCoy of Louisa, Clyde (Angie) McCoy of Marysville, Ohio, and Richard (Connie) McCoy of Inez; three sisters, Caroline (Kim) Ratliff of Warfield, Gail (Randy) Cassady of Pilgrim and Linda (David) Moore of Kodak, Tennessee; two sisters-in-law, Ruby McCoy of Johnson County and Barbara McCoy of Kodak, Tennessee. Lois is also survived by five grandchildren, Tiffany (Tommy) Hinkle, Dustin (Lakean) Meade, Kendra (Robbie) Blevins, Keaton Meade and Jeff Pitts; 12 great-grandchildren, Chase Hinkle, Declan Meade, Kamryn Hinkle, Madden Meade, Jon Hinkle, David Hinkle, Kenzlee Blevins, Greyson Blevins, Ashey Hammonds, Natasha Hammonds, Austin Cole and Matthew (Bob) Smith; and two great-great-grandchildren, Carter Jarrett and Bryson Chapman.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at the Crum Funeral Home in Inez. Burial followed at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Louisa. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
