Danny Bowens was born in Webb, West Virginia, on May 11, 1950, and passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025. He was 74 years old.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Julie Ann Bowens; his daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Brad Snyder; his son, Scott Bowens; grandkids, Peyton, Justin, Noah and Samantha; brothers and sisters, George, Bruce, Brenda, Mary, Kathy and Shirley; and many other family and friends.

Danny was incredibly funny and good-hearted. His sense of humor and character changed after being shot and injured in Iraq in 2006. He tried for years to get back to that. He loved America, Trump and anything good for the country. He always wanted recognition for people who served our country that weren’t only in the military. He will be sorely missed by the people who truly knew and loved him. He loved his wife and family. Julie Ann was his whole world.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at the Crum Funeral Home in Inez, with Maurice Mills officiating. Burial followed at the Fluty Lick Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
