LOUISA — Addiction Recovery Care announced Friday that Matt Brown, chief administration officer and president of ARC Healthcare, will step down from his role at the end of February.
According to a press release issued by the substance abuse provider headquartered in Louisa, Brown’s last day will be Feb. 28. He will work with ARC’s leadership team to ensure a smooth transition, the release stated.
“ARC has been an integral part of my life and my journey,” Brown said in the release. “This ministry helped connect me to God, restored my family, and gave me a life I never imagined. It’s with a heart full of gratitude and hope for the future that I step into this new chapter of my professional and personal journey.
“I will always be grateful to ARC and am carrying over 10 years of recovery and purpose with me to my next chapter in life. That includes continuing to refer people to ARC for treatment because it changed my life.”
The press release described Brown’s tenure as instrumental in leading the charge for recovery initiatives and expanding ARC’s reach. ARC credits Brown with providing life-changing opportunities for tens of thousands of individuals seeking recovery and a renewed sense of purpose.
Brown, in a Kentucky Lantern interview, said he wants to take time to explore other opportunities that fit his executive experience and training as a physical therapist.
Tim Robinson, ARC’s CEO, expressed gratitude for Brown’s contributions in the release.
“Matt’s leadership has had a profound impact on ARC, and I do not doubt that the next phase of his journey will be just as impactful,” Robinson said. “I’m optimistic about ARC’s future and the incredible teams we have in place. Matt’s legacy of dedication, faith, and service will continue to inspire all of us. Our prayers and best wishes are with him as he follows God’s call into this next season of his life, and I look forward to the possibility of future community partnerships with him as he explores his next endeavor.”
ARC remains focused on its mission of supporting individuals in recovery and creating opportunities for those seeking help, Robinson added.
“ARC’s best days are ahead of it,” he said. “With the strength of our team and our shared vision, I am excited to see what God has in store for all of us.”
Lawrence Vinson, ARC’s newly appointed chief nursing officer and chief operating officer, will assist in finalizing transition plans. He has over 22 years of healthcare experience, including roles as a registered nurse and chief quality and compliance officer.
ARC opened its first treatment center in 2010 in Louisa and subsequently expanded to 38 treatment centers across the state.
