John Phillip Fletcher
1953-2025

John Phillip Fletcher, age 71, of Louisa, passed away Jan. 16, 2025, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

Born Feb. 21, 1953, in Martin County, he was the son of the late John Fairchild Fletcher and Delilah Fletcher.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by three brothers, Tom Fletcher, Daniel Fletcher and Denzil Fletcher, two sisters, Rebecca Fletcher and Louise Bowens, and one brother-in-law, Tommy Fitch.

He is survived by two sons, John Phillip Fletcher Jr. of Martin County and Eric Phillip (Brittany) Mollett of Ulysses; three daughters, Delilah (Glenn) Fluty and Becky Bennett, both of Louisa, and Maggie Fletcher of Logan, West Virginia; and one brother-in-law, his best friend, Colonel (Kenna) Fitch. John also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, Erikka Leann Hope Blevins, Alexis Hayes, Katleyn Maynard, Sophie Maynard, Kynleigh Maynard, Wyatt Maynard, William Maynard, John Bennett, Denzil Bennett, Jace Fletcher, Bastion Fletcher, Bryson Wilson, Quentin Wilson, Braxton Kelly, Gabriella Kelly and Carolyne Fletcher, and one great-grandchild, Evelyn Hayes.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, at the Crum Funeral Home chapel with Joseph Castle officiating. Burial followed at the Fletcher Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
