Nathan Christopher Simpkins
1957—2025

Nathan Christopher Simpkins, 67, passed away Jan. 4, 2025.

Born June 2, 1957, he was the son of the late Mathias Simpkins and Mildred Rose Simpkins.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in his death by his sister Bernice Carol Simpkins Moore.

Nathan was a retired coal miner from Wolf Creek Collieries.

He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include Nathan’s loving wife since June 3, 1977, Terrie Lee Simpkins; son Christopher Michael (Breanna) Simpkins of Inez; daughter Crissy Lee (Jacob) Robinson of Beauty; five grandchildren, Lincoln Simpkins, Montgomery Parsons, Hannah Robinson, Haley Robinson and Sophie Robinson; and a special girl who was as a grandchild, Mia Moore of Inez.

He also leaves behind brothers Mathias Simpkins Junior, James Simpkins and Matthew Simpkins; special sister Helen (Heidy) (Darren) Hawkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral Services were conducted Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025 at Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, with Joe Mullins officiating. Burial followed at the Adkins Family Cemetery on Lower Poplar Frk in Beauty. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
