Watts named all-tournament

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — The Cardinals made their way into the championship match on Dec. 30 in the Tampa Bay Christmas Invitational. They fell short 69-67 to the Everglades out of Miramar, Florida.
Parker Watts recorded a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds.
Peyton Davis shot 50% from three-point range and 70% from the floor on his way to dropping a 20-piece. He pulled down six off the rim.
Devan Maynard picked up the double-double after scoring 12 points and rebounding 10 on 75% shooting from the field.
Cardinal Brayden Estep continues to dominate the boards. He reeled in 10 off the glass.
Point guard Bryson Dials contributed seven points and seven rebounds.
Aiden Copeland chipped in with a bucket off the bench.
The team pulled down 44 rebounds.
Watts was named to the All-Tournament team. In addition to his performance in the championship game, he fired in 33 points and pulled four off the rim in a 68-60 win over Lennard, Florida, in the first round. He poured in 23 points and had six boards in a 70-49 second-round win over Smith County, Tennessee.
