Inez native part of winning team

Josie Howard, a pharmacy student from Inez, was part of the victorious team from Marshall University’s School of Pharmacy in the 2024 West Virginia Pharmacists Association (WVPA) Over-the-Counter (OTC) Challenge.

In a competitive, jeopardy-style tournament, Howard and her team triumphed over other pharmacy schools from across West Virginia.

Howard, a 2019 graduate of Sheldon Clark High School, earned her undergraduate degree from Morehead State University. She is currently a second-year pharmacy student at Marshall University.

Howard is the daughter of David and Teresa Howard. She is the granddaughter of Paul and Aurelia Howard and Rosie Bowen and the late Virgil Bowen.
