Virginia Elkins
1927—2024

Virginia Elkins, 96, of Inez, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024, at the Martin County Healthcare Facility in Inez.

Virginia was baptized into the Pentecostal faith when she was 16 years old. During her long years, she would always talk about her love for God and her family. She did the best she could to make sure her children knew God and his precious son Jesus.

She is preceded in death by her oldest son, Vernon Elkins, her oldest daughter, Marella Elkins and her son, Don Elkins.

Virginia leaves behind her children, Doris Christian, Nevada Ooten, Ernie (Sandy) Elkins and Jamie Willis, all of West Virginia, Reggie (Libby) Elkins of Kentucky and Ezra (Tina) Elkins and Robert Elkins, both of Florida; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Virginia will be laid to peaceful rest at a private graveside service officiated by Steven Martin, her grandson from West Virginia. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
