Linda Moore Preece
1937—2024

Linda Moore Preece, 87, of Inez, passed away at her home Monday, Dec. 9, 2024.

Born Feb. 24, 1937, in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late Philip Moore and Elizabeth Jude Moore.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Abraham Preece and one daughter, Phyllis Maynard.

Linda is survived by her children, Henry (Ruth) Jude, Jimmy Jude, Rebecca (Ray) Jarrell, Mary Jude and Patricia Spears, 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Abraham Moore, John Henry Moore and Malcom Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, at the Martin County Freewill Baptist Church in Pilgrim, with Ed May and Jimmy Staten officiating. Burial will follow at the Maynard Cemetery. Friends may visit the church on Wednesday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
