Martin County Middle School hosts successful science fair

WARFIELD — Martin County Middle School recently held its annual 7th and 8th Grade Science Fair on Nov. 18 and 19, marking two days of exploration, innovation, and academic excellence. The event was a tremendous success, showcasing the hard work and creativity of our students.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the judges who dedicated their time and expertise to evaluate the projects. Their support was instrumental in making this event memorable for everyone involved.

The Science Fair featured 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners for both grades, as well as a selection of the Top 10 projects from each grade that will advance to the regional competition. Additionally, Judges Choice Awards were presented to outstanding projects in both grades.

7th Grade Winners:

1st Place: Keagan Rice

2nd Place: Liam Ferrell

3rd Place (tie): Davis Wilson and Brody Jewell/Jonah Alley

7th Grade Top Projects:

Kaitlynn Moore/Braxten Jude, Alivia Stacy, KB Muncy/Kinslee Callaham, Madelyn Hinkle, Lakin Fitch, Mia James/Kinley Harmon, Lexi Bowen/Kenadi Fitch, Jami Preece/McKinley Fitch, and Luke Preece/Hunter Phelps.

7th Grade Judges Choice Awards:

Brydan Marshall/Chucky Leonard and Malie Ray

8th Grade Winners:

1st Place: Landon Hager

2nd Place: Christal Hinkle

3rd Place: Morgan Allen/Emmy Maynard

8th Grade Top Projects:

Michael Rogers, Reagan Sparks, Colton Mullins, Annaleigh Davis, Chloe N. Moore/Hope Caldwell, Jayden Yates, and Jason Harmon.

Mrs. Butcher, Jimmy Horn and Dovi Blackburn, on behalf of Martin County Middle School, would like to thank everyone who contributed their time and dedication to make this opportunity meaningful for our students. This event not only highlighted student learning but also emphasized the importance of community involvement in education.
