Amey Belle (Hundley) Ball
1971—2024
Amey Belle (Hundley) Ball, age 53, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away Nov. 21, 2024, at her residence.
She was born May 3, 1971, to the late James Hubert Hundley and Betty Louise Livering in Portsmouth, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Amey is preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Goshert and Oba Patton, and four sisters, Lynn Stepp, Tonda Patton, Roxie Maynard and Debbie Stamper.
Amey is survived by her husband, Mark Ball of Kermit; her loving children, Wolfie (Nicholas Bentley) Butcher of Kermit and Whitney (Bug Gillman) Butcher of Lenore; five stepchildren, Trish Ball of Michigan and Andrew Ball, Michael Ball, Kristina Ball and Matthew Ball, all of Florida; two brothers, Hubert (Beverly) Hundley and Gary (Leatha) Hundley; five sisters, Alice (John) Meredith of Debord, Bonnie Holderby, Glenna (Gary) Jackson, Brenda Hundley and Gail Hundley; and a very special friend who she loved, Renee Graham, who was always there and by her side. Amey is also survived by four grandchildren that she loved with everything in her, Amelia Gillman, Charlie Gillman, Courtney Belle Gillman and Sawyer Gillman; a host of nieces and nephews that she loved, along with many friends and family that she adored.
Amey held many positions in the workforce, including Director of Senior Services of Pride, Municipal Judge, City Clerk for the City of Kermit, and held many supervisor positions at multiple mine sites. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dignity Hospice for their excellent care.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Kermit First Baptist Church with Danny Meade officiating. Burial followed at the Hundley Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crum Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
