Kevin Sturgell
1966—2024

God gained an angel today. Kevin Sturgell, 58, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024.

He was born March 13, 1966, the sixth of seven children of loving parents, the late Jacqueline (Vance) Sturgell and Clell Sturgell.

Kevin was a Christian who loved Jesus. His smile was contagious and his laugh brought joy to many.

Left behind to mourn Kevin’s loss are his five brothers, Kenneth (Pauline) Sturgill, Leslie (Sue) Sturgell, Clinton Sturgell, Jerry (Kim) Sturgell and Joey (April) Sturgell. He had one sister, Georgia (Daryl) Downs, whom he loved very, very much and would call frequently to check on.

The family wishes to thank Kevin’s favorite nieces and a great-nephew who cared for him for the last few years after his parents passed. Kev loved them dearly. They include Jessica (Shelby) Meade, Sarah (James) Johnson, Alivia Sturgill, April (Michael) White and Abram Sturgill.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at the Neely Branch Church United Baptist Church in Kermit, West Virginia, with Michael Bryant and Russell Ball officiating. Burial followed at the Sturgell Family Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
