Travis Howard
1963—2024

Travis Howard, 61, of Salyersville, passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

Born Aug. 6, 1963, in Royalton, he was the son of the late Alvin and Stella Hager Howard.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Adam Howard and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, General Alonzo and Delores Ann Spaulding; two sisters, Donna Helton and Sandra Miller; one brother, Randall Howard; and sister-in-law Caroline Howard.

Travis is survived by his wife of 41-1/2 years, Brenda Howard; one daughter, Savannah Howard; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Heather Howard; four grandchildren, Parker Scott Howard, Jensen Garrett Howard, Maddox Wade Howard and Presley Grace Howard. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda Sue Howard and Anna Marie Jenkins; brothers, Oliver Howard, Dwayne Howard, Donald Ray Howard and Billy Ray Howard; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Lana Spaulding; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Travis was a dedicated union Milwright with Local 1076 for 30 years. In his free time he enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandkids. He loved fishing and spending time in the hills of West Virginia riding his four-wheelers and side-by-side with Butch and cousin Barry Muncy. He loved spending time with his brothers and sisters every chance he could.

Travis was loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez. Burial followed at the Lowe Cemetery in Kermit, West Virginia. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home of Inez.
