William Henry (Bill) Dingess
1944—2024
William Henry (Bill) Dingess, 80, of Tomahawk, passed away Oct. 28, 2024, at Highlands ARH in Prestonsburg.
Born March 17, 1944, in Wayne County, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Henry Dingess and Chloie Clark.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings Arlie, Arvil and Willie Dingess.
Survivors include his spouse Annie Maynard Dingess of Tomahawk; sons William Jr. (Gloria) Dingess of Tomahawk and John Henry Dingess of Elyria, Ohio; daughters Ann (Amos) Brewer of Kermit, West Virginia, and Tonya (Orison) Smith of Columbus, Ohio; sister Edna Toppings of Georgia. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Oct. 29, 2024, at the Rose Town Free Will Baptist Church on Marrowbone, Kermit, West Virginia, with Ken Allen officiating. Burial followed at the Evans-Baisden Cemetery in Kermit, West Virginia.
