The Cardinal football team dropped a tough game to Prestonsburg on Friday. It’s aggravating to be so close to taking down an undefeated team and fall short.
But to see a former Martin Countian succeeding at a young age should make a Cardinal fan proud.
Coach Wesley Hager has a 7-0 record with the Blackcats this year.
His Dad, Shawn Hager, is a beloved former teacher and coach of Martin County.
Congrats to both of them who have found success.
In the NBA world, Bronny officially took the floor with Lebron James.
Say what you will about either of them, but it’s pretty amazing that The King has played long enough to be able to play alongside his son.
Not only play, but Lebron is still a force to be reckoned with.
I do think it’s obvious that Bronny isn’t quite ready to be an NBA player.
But I hope he sticks with it and proves himself in the next few years.
If Anthony Davis can stay healthy and the Lakers put in a few missing pieces, they could be the first father/son duo to win a championship.
Speaking of basketball, we’re over a week into October.
Martin County should have a complete schedule soon of the infamous Zip Zone Classic.
With a little over a month to go, the games are usually played around Thanksgiving.
I’m sure the lineup will be one to look forward to.
Hopefully we’ll find out those teams in the near future. Basketball fans can rejoice. The season is nearly upon us.
