NAUGATUCK, W.Va. — The Tug Valley Football team took over the No. 1 spot in the state in this week’s Class A West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission (WVSSAC) rankings.
Mingo Central rose two spots to 14th in Class AA.
The Panthers (3-0) traveled to Morgan County (2-2) in Kentucky on Friday night.
The Panthers will take on No. 2 ranked River View in a couple of weeks. They take on the No. 15th-ranked Tolsia this week.
The top 16 teams in each of the four classes advance to the playoffs in November.
