Martin County High School’s eight-game winning streak ended last week.
Head coach Steven Gauze’s squad traveled to Louisville for the Elite 8 round of the state All “A” Classic, where they fell 5-0 at the hands of the defending state champion Bethlehem on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Vittoria Dellmotta did all she could in the net with 12 saves.
In a Sept. 19 loss to East Carter 3-0 on the road, Dellmotta had 10 saves.

Martin County’s win streak ended Sept. 17 when the Lady Cards took on Russell at Cardinal Stadium.
Dellmotta had nine stops for the Cards in the 4-2 loss.
Faith Caldwell and Grace Caldwell each scored a goal. F. Caldwell assisted on one goal.
Martin County was scheduled to take on district foe Johnson Central (11-1-2) on Monday. The Cards hosted Paintsville (5-8) for Senior Night on Tuesday. Details were not available at press time.
