MARTIN COUNTY — The Eden Wildcats and Inez Indians continue to dominate out-of-county teams. The following is a recap of week 5 elementary action:
Eden vs Adams – On Sept. 17 the Eden A-team defeated Adams 35-14.
Paige Stafford fired in 15 points to lead all scorers. Braylee Horn followed up with nine points.
Harper Howell dropped in four. Martha Maynard netted three points. Charlie Mollett and Kami Fletcher each bucketed two.
Inez at Fallsburg – On Sept. 19 the Inez A-team defeated Fallsburg 28-11.
Harper Runyon led all scorers with 10 points.
Jaylea Maynard and Macie Callaham flipped in six points for the Indians.
Emily Mooney bucketed four. Kenleigh Estep added two points.
The Inez B-team won 23-14. Kenna Hale fired in eight points.
Aubrey Maynard flipped in five. Paisley Mooney and Layla Cline dropped in four points each.
Jasmine Hamilton added a shot for two for Inez.
Warfield at Paintsville – On Sept. 16 the Warfield A-team fell to Paintsville 35-19.
Payzlee Fletcher led the Red Devils with 10 points. Morgan Dove followed up with four points.
Reagan Baisden dropped in three points. Baylee Hall sunk a bucket for two.
The B-team fell 15-7 to the Tigers.
Baisden fired in four points. McKenna Fletcher hit for two. Brooklyn Nichol added one point.
