Roscoe Carlos Spurlock
1956—2024

Roscoe Carlos Spurlock, 67, of Warfield, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, at his sister’s home in Inez.

He was born Oct. 8, 1956, in Mingo County, West Virginia, the son of the late Carl Kirk and Ruby Marcum Flemings Spurlock.

Roscoe is preceded in death by his siblings Hayes Randall Flemings, Jerry Flemings, Ronald Flemings, Anthony Flemings and Carolyn Denise Flemings.

He was a sawmill worker by trade.

Roscoe leaves behind his two sisters, Hester Perry of Inez and Faye Short of Warfield, as well as his nephews, who he raised as if they were his own children, and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, at the Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield. Burial followed at the Spurlock Cemetery in Breeden, West Virginia. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
