Glenna Spears
1952—2024

Glenna Spears, 72, of Kermit, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 7, 2024.

She was born July 17, 1952, to the late Virgil and Opal (Deskins) Chapman.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Homer Spears and nephew, Jason Mathew Chapman.

Survivors include Glenna’s children, Kimberly (Billy Bear) Messer of Kermit and Michael Horner of Turkey Creek, Kentucky; her siblings, L.T. Chapman, Garry (Denise) Chapman, Glemma Clevenger and Connie Chapman; and a host of nieces and nephews and so many who adopted her as their Granny.

She touched many lives and will be sadly missed.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, at the Golden Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Bob Messer and Billy Bear Messer officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
