Chad Edward Smith
(1979—2024)

Chad Edward Smith, 45, of Pilgrim, went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 29, 2024. He peacefully passed at Bluegrass Hospice Care in Lexington.

Chad was born April 20, 1979. He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Dale Smith.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sharlene (May) and Malcom Moore of Pilgrim, and his stepmother, Belle Smith of Inez; wife Angel Smith of Pilgrim; children Dylan Smith, Eli Smith, Syrianna Smith, Amelia Smith; brother Shannon (Lori) Smith of Inez; and sister Tracy (Andy) Paglione of Troy, Ohio. Chad is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family who loved and cared for him a great deal.

Chad was a member of the Martin County Freewill Baptist Church in Pilgrim.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024, at Martin County Freewill Baptist Church in Pilgrim, with Brothers Henry Jude, Ed May and Jimmy Stanley officiating. Burial followed at the Jude Cemetery in Pilgrim. In lieu of flowers please make donations to assist with funeral expenses. Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield is honored to serve the family.
