James ‘Rutt’ Russell Carter
1963—2024

James “Rutt” Russell Carter, 60, of Warfield, passed away Aug. 8, 2024, at his home.

He was born Sept. 6, 1963, in Kentucky and was the son of the late George (Irene) Carter and Caladonia (Ladybug) Maynard.

Rutt is preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry (Elizabeth) Carter and brothers, George (Robin) Carter, Mark (Becky) Carter and Billy Joe Spence.

Survivors include his siblings, Curt Spence, Linda Conforti, Sally Carter-Grim and Angela (James) Vanhoose and all of his nieces, nephews and a community of friends which he loved and adored.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, at the Callaham Funeral Home Chapel in Warfield. Burial followed in the Warfield Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
