CINCINNATI – The winners of the MLB Pitch, Hit, Run event that was held in June traveled to Cincinnati over the weekend to play at the Great American Ballpark.
Rylie Parks received second in his age division and only missed first by 20 points. Jace McCoy also received second place. Waylon Porter and McKenslee Noble placed third. Skyler Green placed fifth.
Harleigh Maynard represented the softball division and placed fourth.
Rocco Maynard was not able to attend due to other obligations.
East KY Youth Athletics owner Kenny Maynard was happy to see the kids experience the first-of-its-kind event.
“The experience at the Great American Ballpark was a memorable one for the winners of our local MLB Pitch, Hit and Run competition. Not only did they get to display their talents, but they also had a great time representing Eastern Kentucky and creating lasting memories,” Maynard said.
“The five participants thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were grateful for the opportunity. The Reds’ gesture of providing tickets to the game that night added to the excitement and made the day even more special for the kids.”
