Noah Thompson to perform at Harvest Festival

INEZ — The Martin County Harvest Festival is set to feature a special concert by Noah Thompson, the 2022 winner of “American Idol.” The Kiwanis Club announced Thursday that Thompson will join the festival’s lineup Saturday, Sept. 14.

Hailing from Lawrence County, Thompson was a construction worker before his rise to fame on the 20th season of “American Idol.” His heartfelt performances and down-to-earth personality struck a chord with viewers, ultimately leading him to clinch the coveted title.

Following his victory, Thompson’s debut single, “One Day Tonight,” achieved remarkable success, reaching No. 1 on iTunes’ All Genres and Country charts. The single also garnered an impressive average of 1 million streams per week during the summer of 2022.

Thompson has since dedicated himself to his music career, engaging in touring, songwriting, and releasing singles while working on an album. His musical style blends elements of country and pop.

Festival-goers can look forward to Thompson’s performance at 9 p.m., set to take place on the stage behind the courthouse in Inez.
