INEZ — The Martin County High School Cheerleaders held their Mini Cheer Camp June 17-19 in Inez. Forty-five upcoming Cardinals between the ages of 3 and 13 attended the annual camp.

Each girl learned two sideline cheers, a dance and a floor cheer.

During halftime of the first Martin County High School home football game, the campers will be able to perform the dance they learned with the high school cheerleaders.

Nikki Moore returns as the head coach for the Cheer Cards this year. She was pleased with the turnout and is excited to see the younger cheer generation enjoying themselves. She believes the future is bright for cheerleading in Martin County.

“The little ones all did an amazing job and worked hard,” Moore said. “Our high school girls look forward to this camp every year. They enjoy teaching and playing with the campers.”

Moore and the MCHS Cheerleaders extend a thank you to the parents in the community.
