Ronald Gregory Fluty
1953—2024

Ronald Gregory Fluty, 71, of Crum, West Virginia, gained his heavenly wings Friday, June 21, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born Feb. 9, 1953.

Survivors include Ronald’s loving wife of 50 years Mary Kathy Fluty, and his children, Heather & Brad Finley and Ronald “Bud” & Amanda Fluty, all of Crum, Amanda & Jason Blair of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Morgan Finley, Destinee Finley, Mariah Finley, Haley Fluty, Jacelyn Blair, and great-granddaughter Veronica Noel Finley. Ron also leaves behind brothers Gary & Sharon Fluty and John David & Robin Robinette and sisters Sheree Anderson, Judy & Doug James and Sandra Hall.

Ron was a retired coal miner, federal mine inspector and the proud president of the UMWA Local 93. He loved gardening, golfing and riding motorcycles, but above all he loved his family and spoiling his grandchildren.

Ron was loved by many and never met a stranger; he was a friend to all who knew him. Our loss is heaven’s gain. The family appreciates all the prayers and kindness and extends a special thank you to the staff of Brookview Physical Therapy, Hospice of Huntington, and his longtime friend Dennis Block.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, Kentucky, with Keith Brumfield and Bobby Perry officiating. Burial will be at the family home place on Riverbend Road in Crum. Friends may visit the funeral home Monday at 6 p.m. Special services start at 7 p.m. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Ronald Gregory Fluty.
