Mingo County School District announces summer food service schedule

CITIZEN STAFF REPORT

The Mingo County School District has announced its sponsorship and schedule again for the federally funded Summer Food Service Program for 2024.

School officials said breakfast and lunch are open to all children ages 18 years and under who would like to participate.

Daily breakfast and lunch will be provided Monday through Friday at Mingo Central High School from now through July 12. Officials said the site will be closed July 4 for the holiday.

Breakfast will be available at MCHS from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., with lunch being served from noon to 12:30 p.m., officials said.

Non-congregate meal pickup, which will entail seven-day boxes, will be available at Dingess Elementary, Gilbert PK-8, Kermit PK-8 and Matewan PK-8 on Wednesdays, which began June 12 and subsequently distributed each Wednesday thereafter through July 31.
