Donald Lee Ratliff
1939—2024

Donald Lee Ratliff, 84, of Inez, passed away at his home Friday, June 21, 2024.

Born Aug. 5, 1939, in Lawrence County, he was the son of the late Bascom Ratliff and Gracie Lily (Maynard) Ratliff.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Harlin Ratliff, Burnard Ratliff, Burlin Ratliff, Edgil Ratliff and Darrell Ratliff, and sister Alga Mae (Sorenson).

Donald was a member of the Vineyard United Baptist Church. He was also retired from the railroad.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lula Mae (Bradley) Ratliff, and his six daughters, Julia Whitt of Lousia, Loretta (Johnny) Pack of Ohio, Mary (Donald) Bowen of Inez, Della (James) Johnson of Inez and Naomi Ratliff of Thelma; brothers Lonnie Ratliff, Roy Ratliff and Larry Ratliff; sister Julia Ratliff; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at the Vineyard United Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2024, with Lonnie Maynard and Doc Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at the Ratliff Cemetery in Inez. Friends may visit the church on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 2 p.m. and Sunday. Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield is honored to serve the family.
