One witness recalled seeing the kids over the hill by the river. Witnesses stated the kids would beat on doors in the early morning hours begging for food.
Deputy Kidd found Bush’s apartment “cluttered and dirty,” with rotted and molded food in the kitchen with what appeared to be maggots on the surface. The upstairs room had dog feces on the floor.
