Fireworks, parade, festivities set for July 6 in Inez

INEZ – The Fourth of July festivities in Inez will commence at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at the Martin County Public Library-Collier Center. The celebration promises music, food, a parade, and a grand fireworks display at dusk.

Organizers are calling on businesses, school groups, local organizations and ATV enthusiasts to participate in the parade. Participants are asked to assemble at 6 p.m. at the Martin County Swimming Pool, with the parade set to march down Main Street beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Those interested in becoming vendors are encouraged to contact the organizers at 606-298-7766.

The Inez Volunteer Fire Department will continue its tradition of lighting up the night with a spectacular fireworks show, scheduled to begin at dark, capping off the evening’s celebrations. Fireworks will be shot from the hill behind the Collier Center.
