Woman killed in three-vehicle collision in Belcher

BELCHER — A woman died June 12 in a three-vehicle collision on Ferrells Creek Road in Belcher, according to the Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post.

The crash was reported at approximately 7:14 a.m.

Troopers determined that Jeremy Gunter was driving a 2002 Ford F150 when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2007 Ford 500 driven by Donald Thacker. Gunter’s vehicle then collided with a 2021 Toyota RAV4 driven by Ella Taylor.

Gunter and Thacker were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.

Detective Jason Merlo, a KSP accident reconstructionist, is investigating. KSP Post 9 personnel, the Elkhorn City Volunteer Fire Department, and the Lifeguard Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
