Pikeville man charged with vehicular homicide after hit-and-run on U.S. 460

MILLARD, Ky. — A Pike County man is in custody after allegedly striking and killing a bicyclist on U.S. 460 in Millard and fleeing the scene, according to Kentucky State Police.

The Pikeville Post was notified of the fatal collision around 9:50 p.m. June 12.

Troopers determined that Clinton Justice, 68, of Pikeville, was driving a 2013 Ford Edge when he struck Eric Justice, who was riding a bicycle.

Clinton Justice fled the scene but was apprehended shortly thereafter.

Eric Justice was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.

Clinton Justice was arrested and booked into the Pike County Detention Center on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, and vehicular homicide when under the influence.

The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Matt Smith, a KSP accident reconstructionist.
