INEZ — Alley Way Benefits, a community organization, is once again rallying support for families in need. Founder Ricky Alley announced his commitment to volunteer at a car wash and bake sale this Saturday at Advance Auto in Inez with the goal of raising funds.
Alley is seeking sponsors to pledge $1 to $2 per car washed during the event.
“The funds raised will be used to provide essential resources and support to families in need, helping them through challenging times,” Alley stated. “Your sponsorship would make a significant difference and demonstrate your commitment to our community.”
The event is slated to run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with hopes of washing between 30 and 50 cars. This means a potential contribution of $30 to $100 from sponsors, depending on the number of cars washed and the amount of the pledge.
Alley, who has spearheaded various fundraisers, including the annual Alley Way Benefit Concert at Warfield Park since 2012, expressed his confidence in the community’s ability.
“I believe that together we can make a meaningful impact,” he said. “If you are willing to sponsor me, I will be in contact with you to let you know how many cars I washed so you can give accordingly.”
Grateful for the community’s consideration, Alley added, “Your generosity and support will help us make a positive difference in the lives of those in need. God bless.”
He also invites everyone to get their cars washed.
“Free donations are welcome,” he said.
