Barbara Ellen Muncy
1966—2024

Barbara Ellen Muncy, 58, of Paintsville, went home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2024, at her home.

Born April 6, 1966, in Williamson, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Dodge Hunt Sr. and Polly Canterbury Johnson.

In addition to her parents, Barb is preceded in death by her siblings, Cindy Messer, Blaine Messer Jr., Lovell Messer, Samantha Vivian Vanover and Mollie Mae Spaulding, nephew Dodge Hunt and niece Jessica Dawn Billiter.

Barbara was a medical certifier, a CNA, and a cook for the Wayne County Schools. She was a Christian.

Survivors include Barbara’s spouse of 36 years, Clyde Muncy of Paintsville, children Keith Muncy and Amanda Muncy, both of Paintsville, grandchild Ashley Bowen of Paintsville, brother Dodge Hunt Jr. of Ft. Gay, West Virginia, and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Marrowbone Freewill Baptist Church, with Bill Davis officiating. Private burial followed. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
