MIDWAY — A Martin County resident was among the 2024 graduating class at Midway University’s Commencement Ceremony May 11 at the Graves Amphitheater.

John Daylon Stafford from Inez completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BS). He was greeted by Board Campbell and President Marsden, marking the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.

After inspiring speeches and special recognitions, the ceremony proceeded with the conferring of degrees upon the graduates. The master’s degree candidates were honored first, followed by the bachelor’s and associate degree candidates.

President Marsden concluded the ceremony by expressing gratitude to the families, friends, faculty and staff who supported the graduates throughout their academic journey. He then invited the graduates to switch their tassels, symbolizing their transition from students to alumni.

The event concluded with the singing of the Midway University Alma Mater.
